Re: 2017 Navarre Beach Calendar Coming Soon
You're talking 2017, and I just stocked up on 2016 this past weekend at Walmart! Slow down, I can't keep up :D I have to share a feel good story about these wonderful calendars. As some of you know, my dear father-in-law and best friend passed away earlier this year of pancreatic cancer. He loved Na...

Red Tide?
Any red tide in Navarre? We are scheduled to visit family in Mexico Beach and it's been there this week. Hopefully it's isolated in that area and hasn't impacted Navarre.

Re: Foot Prints in the Sand at Navarre Beach Sunrise
This is absolutely one of my favorite pictures of Paradise. I use it as a screen saver so that I can view this spectacular creation of God every day.

Re: Living on Navarre Beach
Pete, I agree 100%! I built my home on the soundside, not waterfront but several houses up from the shoreline in 2004. I then endured Ivan and Dennis with the only destruction being about 10 feet of privacy fencing and some roofing shingles that were blown off. Not enough damage to file an insurance...

Re: Water
Gosh, it's so dark, it almost looks like an oil spill. Heading down next week and hoping it clears so my buddy from Myrtle Beach can see what real Paradise looks like.

I really enjoy your choice of Scripture to accompany your breathtaking photos. Very inspirational!
Would be a nice addition to your calendar photos as well.

Praise be to God that the strike didn't ignite your home and cause further damage to life and additional property loss.

Re: Umbrella & Tent City
It seems to be largely confined to the condo areas, as my go to spot is the east side of the pier. I do take an umbrella as do many folks, but it doesn't seem to harbor the same congestion as the rental chair/umbrella areas. I'm not one who has to be on the front row, so I can always find an area wh...

Re: Umbrella & Tent City
I agree! If I want that kind of congestion, I'll take a drive around Atlanta. Who in their right mind would want to be sitting so close to the next person, even if you're related. I always take my own beach utilities and if people get too close, I'll get up and move to a less crowded area. Not for m...

Amen to your support for our Military families! Many of our neighbors in Navarre are either active or retired Military. They are awesome neighbors and many have turned into lifelong friends. Several of our heros are on long term deployments and they've rented their homes with the hope of retiring ba...

Re: New Development on HWY 98
I suppose the US is becoming Europe. Small cars and apartment living. I was hoping the trend was limited to cities like Atlanta, where that it certainly the trend. Hoping that the trend in Navarre is due to the bedroom community feeding the Military bases where longevity of assignments might not len...

New Development on HWY 98
I noticed when I was down a couple of weeks ago that a lot of grading is underway on the right as you head west past Sunrise. Anyone know what's being developed? Looks like it could be residential housing or more apartments, but I don't recall seeing anything published.
