Thanks for the info Jim. We've been coming to the area for 11 years and thought we knew that the green slime was June grass. We just don't recall the amount of the other stuff. Probably have seen it alot, but just don't remember.

I do know that the grandaughter had a great time making piles of it.

What is the brown stringy stuff washing up on the shore?

We've been here since Frinday and wonder what the brown stringy seaweed like stuff is and where does it come from. It doesn't stick to you like the green seaweed. This morning we saw streaks of it far out in the gulf and and the appearance reminded me of an oil slick, thank goodness its not. Anybody...

We go there once every trip. As long as you can sit outside, have a drink and watch the world go by, we don't care what the name of the place. The talk about Bos' developement makes me remember sitting on McGuires upstairs deck prior to the new development and looking out over the harbor. Now that w...

We did walk the Pier and saw a fisherperson throwing back a baby shark.

That was kind of cool to see for a couple of land locked Kansans.

We went to the Pier Restaurant Tuesday and loved it. Had some beers and the fried grouper basket and the wife had the chiken ceaser wrap and both wer very very good. I did go to the bathroom, twice actually, and it was fine. One of the fixtures on top of the urinals was wrapped in electrical tape al...

Our impression of the BM

As promised, Mrs. Feat and I did our traditional Cocodries(BM) vistit on our first day after getting settled in the condo. It was a stressful day of traveling but after having a couple of drinks, we headed to the BM about 8:30. We requested to sit on the deck and it was packed. We really liked the c...

Skin it back s one of my favorites also. But Easy To Slip has my favorite lyric. 'So, I'll light another cigarette, and try to remember to forget'. Lowell George was the master! Kayak Dzve-I did look at Trampled Under Foot's website and saw their schedule. I looks like they are going all over Florid...

PKid-Little Feat is my favorite band of all time. I've seen them probably 25 times over the years, starting in the middle 70's when the late great Lowell George was still alive. After The Feat, Leon Russell is my favorite. But I digress. KD-I have not seen Trampled Under Foot in person. I've just lo...

Me and Mrs. Liberal will be hitting the beach a week from Saturday. The last three years, after unpacking and having a beverage or two, it's been our tradition to have dinner at Cocodries and we will continue that traditon at The Beach Monkey.

Dang, that felt good to say the BM word out loud!

Now wait a minute. This is not fair! I am the one that called David out on this and I require some Trigger fish(cooked) and a couple of Peroni's.

Let me preface this by saying that I have gleaned alot of useful information off this forum and have thoroughly enjoyed the photos and videos. I agree with both Eddie and Kenny. I agree with Eddie because a forum is for open and honest discussion. I don't find the disussion of Beach Monkey an attack...

JellyBean-we have stayed at the Regency several times and really liked it although this year we are trying the Caribbean Resort.

The balconies at Regency are big and the units spacious.

Enjoy!

David,
Here is a stupid question, albeit from a non fisherman. Once you catch a 30 lb fish, how do you get it from the water to the pier deck?
