Heard from family at Sundunes that they moved the turtle nest so the water wouldn't get it.

Kenny -
Do you know if the sea turtle nest at the bottom of the walk over by Sundunes has survived this latest surge?
Thanks!

We were supposed to be there this week but my husband broke his ankle so plans were changed. Thinking it may have been a blessing in disguise. He may not be thinking that way though! Fortunately, since its a family owned condo, no deposit was lost and we could easily reschedule. I have a son who is ...

This is a pic of the beach in front of Sundunes. Water is to the dunes. Very little beach. How is the flooding?

Linda - I live in Huntsville and that was a very quick downburst and a horrible accident. In the parasailing incident the storm was forming out in the gulf. We have family that was there when it happened. They had already gone inside because of the wind. They did say the wind was the worse they had ...

Terrible accident yesterday in Panama City. Prayers for the young girls involved. I cannot even begin to imagine how terrified they were or their families who were hopelessly watching.

We got back a week ago and had a red flag one day and double red another. This was mainly due to the tropical storm that was brewing. We had family in Panama City and spent time over there for a family wedding. They had double red but part of that was due to sharks! There was not much press about it...

I have used the laundromat that's on the main road kind of across from Navarre Lumber. They used to have a good drop off service but I haven't used them in years. There are some good dolphin cruises out of Fort Walton and Destin. Sorry I am not able to give you names. Since my kids are grown we don'...

We are headed back the July 4th week. Sounds like we need to give Rocco's a try. All reviews have been positive. I am sorry you had a bad experience at WalMart. I ave always found it crowded but the people that work there are always pleasant and helpful. I guess with the tourist and the locals it ca...

We left for home yesterday during the rain. Only rain I saw all week. It does make leaving a little easier! The water temperature was great the days we could get in it. On red flag days I went over to the beach in the sound side at the state park. It was very nice and shallow. The water there was no...

Water was nice Saturday. Temperature was great. It was a little cloudy due to the wave action but no seaweed or jellyfish. Of course the water changes daily. The beach is pretty narrow right now due to the tropical storm but it is still beautiful!

We left yesterday during the rain which made leaving a little easier. Only rain I saw all week. It is nice to sit and watch those big waves move in during a storm though and makes for some great sleeping! Hope the rain moves out for you soon though. Enjoy your time - I sure did! Counting the days un...

Ed is great! I have used him for years when I don't have my husband with me to carry all the stuff! :D We have found what helps us a little is just putting everything in the back of the car at the end of the day instead of taking it all the way up to the condo. Of course this may not be convenient a...
