Been up in Utah and other points North of Texas for a few days visiting a Brother-in-law and his family. I'm still (mostly) unavailable for a couple of days and my "normal" service will be restored by the end of the week...

Spent the last two days in Yellowstone Park... got a bunch of photos I'll upload if anyone wants to see them, but I am attaching a shot of "Old Faithful" being as reliable as usual.

Some animal and landscape pictures from the Yellowstone area.

All unedited except for being re-sized down to fit online more easily.

One thing we did notice is that a lot of trees had died and were fallen and oriented in mostly the same direction... Asking a ranger about this, whenever there is a large forest fire, the trees tend to fall facing in the direction that the fire was moving. Seems that the wind is that strong!!!

Thanks for the memories - haven't been to Yellowstone area since mid-1980's.
Daughter was then in about 3-rd grade (now she has her own daughter starting school).
We went from Rapid City (Blackhills), to Devil's Tower, across Bighorn Mountains, to Tetons (Jackson Hole), Yellowstone, then to Glacier (from the west) and into Canada (Waterton Park), then to Baniff & Lake Louise, Athabasca Glacier, Jasper and back to South Dakota!
I believe it was longest vacation trip we ever took as a family - nearly three weeks.
Cheers, Pete

We will be by the time Friday gets here!

I just spent $160 on an A/C service on my car - I "had" a leak in it and the shop wanted to put dye in to find it... Fixed and recharged.

NOW.... My car is icy cold, which as you well know A.G. as North TX is 9,000 degrees this time of year (well, 100 degrees anyway), it's an essential... 8)

Boy! That sure was a long trip.

We flew up to a Brother-in-law's family in Utah (SLC) and then drove up there and back to SLC over last weekend.

How time flies with families, huh?

Thanks Kenny.

All are resized down by 90% to be easy and quick to load. Lots more detail in the full size shots, but you get the idea from these.

Bloody good show Mr. Patriot. I'll have to bump your thread up as a STICKY.
