A colleague of mine at work closed last week on his new home in Florida. In one of "The Villages" to be exact.

Yes, those "villages". The master planned central Florida golf community with the highest level of senior citizens that have STD's in the world. I guess it's whatever you prefer, but it's not for me.

He is flying back to Dallas from Orlando today and before he left for the flight, he texted me to say that he is feeling screwed because his hurricane and flood insurance has a thirty-day "grace" period or delay before it comes into effect.

When we were owning on the beach, I just don't recall that delay - does anyone else with a more recent experience and can confirm about these delays??? :?:

A 30-day waiting period in Flood is typical and I'm assuming that's the same for Hurricane coverage. In good weather, we just tend not to notice that detail! Human nature! ;)

Once again, Jesus spoke to the people and said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life." John 8:12 BSB
