As an fyi for anyone that may be considering a visit to the Cayman Islands in the future, I might offer you some suggestions and thoughts.

Our daughter graduated from Texas State University about 6 weeks ago. Back in Jan or Feb when it was confirmed she would be walking, we asked her where she would like to go for her graduation gift (within reason). She said Cayman. We said ok. Trust me on this one, I wish we would have gone to Navarre instead.

Cayman is stupidly expensive. Everything is 25-30% more there than here. Everything. There are zero pelicans, seagulls or dolphins. Not one. Very bizarre. The humidity was off the charts. You think P'town or Houston is humid? We have nothing on Cayman. Culinarily speaking, there is no identity in Cayman. They kind of take off on Jamaican jerk chicken or pork but that is it. All the restaurants we visited were glorified bar food.
Finally, unless you want to do the typical touristy stuff, there is not a lot to do there except sit on the beach. The water was pretty but so is Navarre. I will not ever go back. The people were very nice though.

Have been to just enough so-called "tropical paradises" that we realized it was likely a myth perpetrated by people who didn't appreciate air conditioning and modern conveniences! LOL

Once again, Jesus spoke to the people and said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life." John 8:12 BSB
