What did you not understand about the definition of evidence?

Nobody is saying that the Commissioner didn't know about the video inside the elevator. At this point there is no solid evidence that the Commissioner knew. At this point it's just conjector of rumor mongers.

It's almost as if you are hoping the Commissioner knew you so you can be right. What happens if it turns out that the Commissioner didn't know? Will you then admit that you were wrong?

The FBI is investigating this incident and once they establish the truth from hard EVIDENCE we will then know if the Commissioner knew. Then the rumor mongers can move on to the next story that has not established viable evidence.

No Mr. Wilder....you should know me by now. I am not a liberal. I admit fault and am responsible and am accountable for ALL my actions and words.

I could care less if I am right. I know what IS right and simply by common sense and circumstantial evidence (at the very least at this point), along with oh, I don't know, 10 different sources saying or confirming so, I firmly believe Roger Godell and the NFL knew almost immediately the degree to which this situation reflected on Ray Rice and the NFL and chose not to address it, until such time as he/they got caught.

If you are wanting me to say, "No, there has not been a confession of Roger Godell" and you want to be right on that fact, so be it. Here ya go....I have not heard Roger Godell confess that he knew 5 months ago. It will come out though.

To answer your question.....if this situation proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that the NFL and Roger Godell did not have access to the video and did not know of the severity, and did not know what transpired IN the elevator, I will apologize publicly on this forum. That did not happen though and we all know it.

I go back to my duck analogy. Let's also add, where there is smoke!!!!!

The NFL has made a habit of trying to make sure negative PR does not penetrate their business. It is full of this type of nonsense and it is high time the NFL is called on the carpet. Hopefully this incident will do just that! This from an NFL fan and a present Fantasy Football participant.

You know Kenny, I just left the house to run an errand and I pondered the question you posed. You know what this is, and I can tell you first off, what it is not. This is NOT an inconsequential, petty little bickering match with you and this is not a matter of, "being right" for the sake of pumping up the kid. What this is, is a matter of me being sick to death of the lack of ethics, morality, virtuous behavior, character and on and on, that our media, our politicians, our business leaders, our industries, our entertainment and you name, NO LONGER POSSESS and in fact, do their best to exemplify the opposite. This country due in large part the the liberal agenda we have embraced, have little to none of these attributes any longer and just by the latest example of the behavior of the employees of the NFL and the top brass of the NFL, well they just fall right in line with everyone else.

We have seen countless examples of what not to do from every tom, dick and harry in this country and now it is almost accepted behavior.

It is NOT accepted behavior with me. The frustration level with me as it pertains to the character of this country is at a peak. Do I want to be right about the NFL and Roger Godell....yes, but not because it elevates me but to once again showcase yet another example of the direction of our country and hopefully expose people for who and what they are. This is way bigger than ol Pensacolakid.

Once again, should the FBI who is doing the investigation now, show/prove the opposite happened, I will openly and publicly admit fault and apologize to Mr. Godell.

Many years ago, I seem to recall a case where an NFL player killed his wife. Apparently there was no proof he did the crime. Got off a free man. Did OJ Simpson kill Nicole Simpson?

WARNING FROM THE ADMINISTRATOR

I feel your pain about this issue.

Using the liberal media to back up your unfounded claim that there is EVIDENCE to show that the NFL Commissioner knew of the 2nd video of inside the elevator is entertaining, but I'm sure that you won't be surprised that I don't agree with your ongoing claim.

AGAIN, WHERE IS THE DAMN EVIDENCE?

The following article from the AP is what is bringing into question whether Goodell previously knew or even saw the video prior to Monday. Anyone can make an accusation about anything, but it remains just that until it is proven in the appropriate venue. I personnaly have a hard time believing a dam thing I read or see in the media anymore because it is so agenda driven. The facts will come out at some point in time which will inevitably determine the outcome of this issue.

"The NFL says it has "no knowledge" of anyone in its offices receiving a copy of the now infamous Ray Rice video in April, as a law enforcement official claimed in a report the Associated Press published Wednesday.

"We are not aware of anyone in our office who possessed or saw the video before it was made public on Monday," NFL spokesman Greg Aiello wrote in an e-mail to USA TODAY Sports. "We will look into it."

NFL Security had begun looking into the matter by Wednesday night, Aiello confirmed.

Since the video of Rice punching his then-fiancée was posted Monday on TMZ, the league and Commissioner Roger Goodell — who suspended Rice indefinitely — have been adamant they didn't see the violent images until this week.

But a law enforcement official told the Associated Press he sent a video of Rice punching Janay Palmer, now Rice's wife, to an NFL executive five months ago. The law enforcement official also played the AP a 12-second voicemail from an NFL office number on April 9 confirming the video arrived. A female voice expresses thanks and says: "You're right. It's terrible."

The official, speaking to the AP on condition of anonymity because of the ongoing investigation, says the NFL never followed up. The person can't confirm if anyone at the NFL watched the video. The person said he shared the video — which he was unauthorized to release — because he wanted the NFL to have it before deciding on Rice's punishment.

The report came on another day filled with scrutiny for the league and Goodell, who sent a memo to the NFL's 32 teams saying the league asked law enforcement for the video, but not the Atlantic City casino where the incident involving Rice took place."

And to make this mess even more interesting, there is the infamous "Bountygate" a couple years ago with Saints coach Sean Payton where Payton claimed he "did not know" about the "pay to injure program" and was told by Goodell that this was not a suitable defense and banned him for one year from the NFL. Point being "did not know about it" was deemed by Goodell as non defensible.

The commissioner may be playing with words but he DID know about the hit that knocked the girl out because it is a reported fact by Ray Rice himself that HE told the commissioner he hit the girl and knocked her out. So Goodell did in fact KNOW that the incident did happen and did what the NFL has been doing for years and that basically was to turn a blind eye to domestic violence. MSNBC just reported all this plus has interviewed other NFL players wives who have confirmed at least one wife called the NFL office about a happening event and the office did not do anything about it. I still stand by my prediction from a few posts above that Monday Goodell will resign. I know right now he is treading water hoping to get to Sunday's games so the public will have games to talk about but I don't see how the man can keep his job.

Topic LOCKED by the Administrator

You know what guys I’m really getting tired of having to continue Warning you guys about the Ray Rice and NFL Commissioner story, where you guys obviously did not take heed of my WARNING of another forum member. And now some of you guys are doing the same thing. Therefore, this Topic (Thread) is being LOCKED until more reliable evidence is available. When that happens I will UN-LOCK the Topic (Thread). As most of you know, I very much dislike rumors without credible evidence.
