KIDSY'S PUNT RETURN NO. 1 ON SPORTSCENTER: Sophomore Darvin Kidsy’s 75-yard punt-return touchdown was named SportsCenter ESPN's No. 1 play on Saturday, Sept. 20.

Quarterback Dejon Williams had the top rating in ESPN's Total Quarterback Ranking this past weekend, finishing ahead of Heisman Candidates like Texas A&M QB Kenny Hill and Oregon QB Marcus Mariota.

Congratulations Mean Green Football on well-deserved honors!

Sweet! This is how a program starts to build, grow, expand and start attracting quality athletes. The Fresno States, the Boise States, the East Carolinas, etc. Heck, for that matter, the Miss States. How long have the bulldogs been at the bottom the SEC? Decades? All it takes is a game or two of beating a big time program and things start to happen.

I would suggest that the Mean Green darken that green a bit. It is a pretty bold green, that is fo sho!!

We used to be a darker shade of green (the color on A.G.'s eagle) until a few years ago when we changed to a more modern shade of neon "vomit" green.

The away colors are actually black with dark green stripes on shoulders of the uniforms.

I got the eagle from the official NTU website ... yep, I prefer the darker green, too! A lot easier to look at!

I'm just kidding about the Mean Green. I have nothing but the highest respect for what North Texas has accomplished over the past two years - great football program and great fans.
