Hi there we are a military family moving to Navarre. We are renting a home...any idea on what electricity company to look into? Where we live now there isnt many choices! What about cable/internet/phone? Is dish network or direct TV cheaper? better?
We have lived in our last location for almost 5 years which seems like an eternity! What do we need to know about Navarre? We are very excited!
Thanks for any info!
Shannon
Moving to Navarre
Welcome.
Gulf Power is electric.
No other choices.
Water depends on where you live. May be Holley-Navarre Water, Santa Rosa County (Beach), or Midway.
Mediacom is cable. DISH and Direct Tv are available. All about the same, just depends on what you like.
Internet can be Mediacom or DSL through the phone company.
If you get a package with more than one service, you can usually get a discount.
I use the majic jack for my home phone. I love it. You have to have a computer on all the time for it to work. It has voice mail that sends the message to my email. I can hear it where ever I am.

We have something new for home phone, internet and cable. AT&T has installed fiber optics in many places of Navarre. They have it in Holley By The Sea and other subdivisions and are actively soliciting customers right now.

We are west of 87 and were told AT&T U-verse was available in our neighborhood. (Our neighbors 2 doors away have it.) After waiting 4 hours on 2 different occasions, I was told that we were just past the trunk line. I was not at all happy! I have AT&T internet service.

If you haven't gotten one yet, the Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce offers a welcome bag that has info about the area. It is a great way to discover what is in the area.
