I do wonder about the topography of the Gulf floor when this is done. Not only this time but the previous time as well. Although I am not a geology expert, there must be some give and take with that much sand being removed and replaced elsewhere? What does that potentially do to the wave action should/when another Cat 2 or better storm blows through this particular area?
Common sense thinking says a wave would hit deep water (relatively speaking) then deeper just off shore then very shallow. Ummmm?

The borrow site is 4-miles offshore. Water depth there is 70-75 feet. (If Google Earth is anywhere near accurate - and it seems to be.)
While a wave has as much action (circulation) below "sea level" as its height above - even a 20-30 foot wave is unaffected by the sea floor topography at 70-feet (40-feet below the 20-30 feet of below sea-level wave circulation).
Don't know if you have done SCUBA diving - but even with 10-foot waves there is little/no effect if diving at 20-40+feet.

There were directly in front of the Sugar Beach, Beach View Beach Access about lunch today.
They are moving right along and the beach looks so much bigger.

Kenny,
The county website Status Report shows a second pipeline, Pipeline Corridor 2, will be used to finish Section 3 and Section 4. Once Section 2 is completed I assume the pipeline, Pipeline Corridor 1, in front of The Pearl/Beach Colony will be removed. Is this your understanding also?
Thank you for all the updates!

Navarre Beach Renourishment Project Update
This morning about 9:15 am I started shooting photos of the Renourishment Project, which has moved west past Sugar Beach and BeachView. The current Renourishment site this morning was right in the middle of the new Spring-Hill Suites Hotel construction site. One of my photos shows part of the Spring-Hill Suites Hotel in relation to the sand distribution on the beach. One of my photos shows at the top Navarre Towers condo (tan exterior) and Belle Mer condo (white exterior with green roof). At the current pace the Project could possibly be passed Navarre Towers and Belle Mer in a few days.

Does anyone know if the dredging has made the water murky? I have some snorkeling plans and want to know if I shouldn't get my hopes up.

Start at either the far western edge of Navarre Beach or the National Seashore even further west or snorkel east of the pier.

In my eyes, that hotel is a monstrosity.

Navarre Beach Renourishment Project Update 5/16/2016
The Renourishment has arrived at the Belle Mer! The snapshot above was captured about 5 minutes ago. You can watch the Renourishment Project 24/7 on my Navarre Beach Live HD 1080 Zoom Cam that covers the entire beach with 12 unique scenes. Go to: http://www.navarrebeachlife.com/live-hd-1080-zoom-cam/
I am heading to the beach with several cameras and lenses shortly to shoot from the 15th floor of the Belle Mer where the Live HD 1080 Zoom Cam is mounted.

I apologize if you have already answered this question or have explained the process. Now that I am here watching the renourishment myself I have a question about the 2 boats. Do both of them excavate the sand them swap positions as 1 empties? I have watched them swap places all day and was just wondering how it works. It is fascinating to watch. Thinking they may be in front of SunDunes before I leave.
Thanks for keeping everyone posted.
