It appears the wave action has already started showing itself from the SE.
Some surfers attempted to surf to the East of Navarre Beach Pier (closed) Monday morning when I was out taking sunrise pics....

Just saw the splash from a wave that hit the end of the pier and the splash was a good 10 feet above the railing at the end of the pier. That is approximately 40-45 feet normally, above the calm surface.

The Navarre pier was closed ... The live webcam shows nobody on it.wregle wrote:Why is the pier open?!?! Just saw a pic that The Weather Channel posted and there are tons of people out there!
Maybe they were just replaying footage from a day or so back?

The picture I saw was on The Weather Channels Facebook page. Couldn't have been from a day or so ago because the waves were huge! I will try to copy it and post it.

Glad y'all found the picture. I was not able to post it from my iPad. Don't think I would have been out there either. Really surprised they let anyone!
