We made two walks out on the pier last week. On both occasions we saw the folks managing the pier out there cleaning out the garbage cans. We did not see any trash hanging around, although I did pick up a wrapper and a couple of pieces of line that were hanging around. We did hear (oh did we ever hear) somebody brought an old fashioned boom box out there and apparently thought everyone else wanted to hear the music they were playing. Quite annoying and there should be a rule against that. You want to listen to music, get some earphones dude!
The only thing in my opinion that could make the pier even better than it already is, is to have people consider others before themselves but I suppose that will never happen.
I will tell you one thing and seemingly it seems to expand and grow every time I am out there. That is the influx of Vietnamese. I have nothing personally against Vietnamese people but I damn sure wish if they are going to come to this country and patronize and use this country, not to mention live it, that they would learn to speak the language. Quite annoying to hear that horrible nasally dialect and only that horrible, nasally dialect. They seemingly only go after hardtails, which most of us either throw back or use as bait. Heard they smoke them. They can have them.
Not a fan of the modern day, "diversity"....at all! Completely different than it was at the beginning of the twentieth century.
This is where you can find the Pier fishing reports, Pier photos of those huge fish, and other information. This is a beautiful place to walk along the Pier and shoot memory photos of the Pier and Navarre Beach. Bring your camera and post your Pier photos here!
